The Silence Before The Storm.

The planets are lining up this month and February gives us the chance to tie up loose ends and get ready to start on the right foot.

This a turning point within a turning point. Now that all planets are moving forward until the start of May, our thoughts turn to taking action. But unless we want the same old, same old results, we need to change our thinking before we change the external.

What’s happening in the stars in February 2023?

February 1-28 - No Major Planets in Retrograde: This creates some fantastic forward-moving momentum that we can use to make progress with our dreams and goals. We may feel the Universe opening doors and helping us reach that next stage of our journey.

February 3 - Ceres Retrograde: Ceres is an asteroid associated with nourishment and nurturing. Its retrograde energy is very soft and gentle and linked to the mother wound, so we may find ourselves needing to nourish and nurture all those parts of ourselves we’ve been ignoring and adopt self-care practices into our daily routine.

February 5 - Leo Full Moon: It offers bright and bold energy! Uranus is active at this time, which can create a need to change or innovate an area of our lives. A wonderful time for release work, and this Full Moon is no exception. With all the forward-moving momentum, it’s a great time to do away with the past and create space for the new to come in.

February 7-8 - Mercury leaves Shadow Period: Mercury has now just left its post-retrograde shadow period, helping to boost the momentum of the Universe. If something has been foggy or uncertain in your life since the end of December, greater clarity will now arrive.

February 15 - Venus Conjunct Neptune in Pisces: A harmonious combination of planetary energies that help to bring a sweetness and softness to all that is going on in your life. Use this energy to love deeper, open your heart wider, and to express your ideas out into the world. Beautiful energy for romance, expanding your creativity, and for spiritual practices.

February 16 - Sun Conjunct Saturn in Aquarius: This is the last time we will experience Saturn and the Sun coming together in Aquarius for another 28.5 years. Saturn in Aquarius has dropped karmic lessons for us on a collective and personal level, but now its work is coming to an end.

February 18 - Sun in Pisces: We move out of air sign, Aquarius into the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces! Pisces is a water sign and brings a sense of completion and wholeness. Represented by two fish swimming in opposite directions, Pisces energy is connected to the principles of yin and yang. As Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, it’s a good time to reflect on the year traveled and how all that has transpired has led you full circle to the next chapter of your evolution.

February 19 - Pisces New Moon: A beautiful Pisces New Moon that carries the energy of fresh starts indicating a strong theme of new beginnings. Pisces is a very creative energy, so use this New Moon to create and visualise what you would like to draw into your life. This is a good time for vision boarding practices and to affirm what you wish to be true affirming what we desire but then stay open to the flow and harmony of the Universe.

February 21-24 - Sun Conjunct Royal Star, Fomalhaut: Fomalhaut is one of the four royal stars and is the gatekeeper to the southern skyrepresenting transformation and the death phase in the cycle of death and rebirth. Transformation is a highly creative energy and time where we can open doors to the new& activate our spiritual gifts and strengthen our spiritual connection.
Work with this energy by expressing your creative side, deepening your spiritual practices, and to remember that rebirth is always possible when something falls away.

As holistic beings, the human energy field (mind/body/ spirit) is constantly interacting with the quantum field − a vibrant, responsive network of consciousness that mirrors our internal condition.
Are you starting to sense the powerful changes coming in 2023... there is a strong forward momentum in the field right now! It feels like the bow of a ship propelling through the ocean. The new energy has strong vector velocity - are we leading the way or is it a cosmic yanking forward?
Hare in the Moon

Not only are all planets moving in forward direction, but if you look up into the northern night sky you may catch a glimpse of the emerald comet passing earth. Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) will be closest to earth on February 2, 2023. The green comet has not passed earth for 50,000 years. It forges a new groove, a new cycle, a new path of encoded consciousness for all life on the planet.

How does this translate for us mere mortals?
Identify what is NOT yours and disengage from it… cut the cords, delete your expired hopes, erase your broken yesterday from your story.
Stop doing what you don’t want to do. If you’re serious about evolving, then one of the most powerful disciplines is to consistently not do what you don’t want to do. You work out what you don’t want to do - what no longer resonates with you - and you stop doing it. “No” is a complete sentence. “NO, I am not going along with my self-created misery for another second longer. NO, I am not going to paper over my feelings just to be liked. Enough is enough. I am walking with what I know to be true. How do I know? Through intuition, by scanning my body and feeling what is arising there.
There have been too many weak yeses and not nearly enough big NO’s.

“Rising above apparent limitations, you defiantly renounce the letter of the law to salvage the spirit of the law. Puncturing pretence. Breaking down power and control structures. You are militantly outrageous, anti-traditional. Pulled forward by a vision, a knack, an instinct for what this Earth asks and demands. On fire with the power of radical changes, you feel in your cells the next stage in evolution. Ignited by the sense for being selected out as the quintessential representative of progressive currents, you dramatise yourself, your cause, your expanding awareness. You want to make sure everybody knows that something new is going on around here, and that it will not stop nor take a back seat to anybody or anything.”
Inside Degrees Elias Lonsdale

It is for the unraveling of this that this work on self awareness is paramount; it is to reclaim yourself fully and completely and see yourself through truthful eyes. That's when peaceful acceptance comes and with it a love of self that can also be pain free...it's up to you to love or not to love that self that is the question.
It is an inside job no doubt about it.
We all seek unconditional love through our addictions because the pain of feeling unloved and unloveable is too, too painful to bear.
But the addictions can't provide the love that we seek because the unconditional love that we seek has to actually come from you and given to you and that is the pain of not knowing that is who we already are.
When you can feel that limitless self love, there is no need for pain, for pain is the rejection of yourself and the rejection of that love for yourself. It is simply that that hurts you.
I am speaking to myself...speaking truth to myself and see if I stick around; I am my people. The only truth and the only tribe I want & need. The truth of my pain, emotional then physical, are but my journey less travelled and I intend to become familiar, become my family and love my best friend, me, myself & I
She is no longer for the turning, for the ignoring nor for the abandoning.
She is for the love.
She is for my love.
She is my love.

Poet's Corner

"Like the lotus flower that is born
out of mud, we must honour the
darkest parts of ourselves and
the most painful of our life’s
experiences, because they are
what allow us to birth our most
beautiful self."
Debbie Ford

How I became a Warrior
Once, I ran from fear
so fear controlled me.
Until I learned to hold fear like a newborn.
Listen to it, but not give in.
Honour it, but not worship it.
Fear could not stop me anymore.
I walked with courage into the storm.
I still have fear,
but it does not have me.
Once, I was ashamed of who I was.
I invited shame into my heart.
I let it burn.
It told me, "I am only trying
to protect your vulnerability".

I thanked shame dearly,
and stepped into life anyway,
unashamed, with shame as a lover.
Once, I had great sadness
buried deep inside.
I invited it to come out and play.
I wept oceans. My tear ducts ran dry.
And I found joy right there.
Right at the core of my sorrow.
It was heartbreak that taught me how to love.
Once, I had anxiety.
A mind that wouldn't stop.
Thoughts that wouldn't be silent.
So I stopped trying to silence them.

Art: Fiona Francois: Joan of Arc
And I dropped out of the mind,
and into the Earth.
Into the mud.
Where I was held strong
like a tree, unshakeable, safe.
Once, anger burned in the depths.
I called anger into the light of myself.
I felt its shocking power.
I let my heart pound and my blood boil.
Listened to it, finally.
And it screamed, "Respect yourself fiercely now!".
"Speak your truth with passion!".
"Say no when you mean no!".
"Walk your path with courage!".
"Let no one speak for you!"
Anger became an honest friend.
A truthful guide.
A beautiful wild child.
Once, loneliness cut deep.
I tried to distract and numb myself.
Ran to people and places and things.
Even pretended I was "happy".
But soon I could not run anymore.
And I tumbled into the heart of loneliness.
And I died and was reborn
into an exquisite solitude and stillness.
That connected me to all things.
So I was not lonely, but alone with All Life.
My heart One with all other hearts.
Once, I ran from difficult feelings.
Now, they are my advisors, confidants, friends,
and they all have a home in me,
and they all belong and have dignity.
I am sensitive, soft, fragile,
my arms wrapped around all my inner children.
And in my sensitivity, power.
In my fragility, an unshakeable Presence.
In the depths of my wounds,
in what I had named “darkness”,
I found a blazing Light
that guides me now in battle.
I became a warrior
when I turned towards myself.
And started listening.
Jeff Foster

Nobody
"You spent the first half of your
life becoming somebody. Now you
can work on becoming nobody,
which is really somebody.
For when you become nobody
there is no tension, no pretence,
no one trying to be anyone or
anything.
The natural state of mind shines
through unobstructed ~ and the
natural state of mind is pure
love."
Ram Dass

And we are told we are none of those things! So we bury our hurt vulnerability to protect it but in doing so, we diminish all those glorious things that we are. Through JournalSpeak & honest bravery to look where I fear to look, at the wounds of my lost girl and speak/write them free of my self-imposed prison, I no longer need the physical pain to distract me from what I think I cannot bear. Silly me. I've been bearing ALL of the pain for ever and ever! And when I get that I am a very brave girl, this is what I find is true.
This is what lies beneath - the glorious truth of who I really am.

Until next time…
With love PW
