Breaking Free

Breaking free of an old story, like the empowering fable of The Elephant & The Rope has a pertinent message of utmost importance and illustrates the context and subject matter here:

‘As my friend was passing the elephants, he suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at anytime, break away from the ropes they were tied to but for some reason, they did not. My friend saw a trainer nearby and asked why these beautiful, magnificent animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away.

“Well,” he said, “when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size of rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.” My friend was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn’t, they were stuck right where they were.’

Like the elephants, how many of us go through life hanging onto a belief that we cannot do something simply because we’ve been told it was true as a kid and therefore failed at it many times fulfilling the prophecy of never amounting to much?

How many of us are being held back by old, outdated beliefs that no longer serve us? How many of us have avoided trying something new because of a limiting belief? Worse, how many of us are being held back by someone else’s limiting beliefs?

It’s time to take the bull by the proverbial horns, so to speak and connect back to your intuition. It is there  precisely, your intuitive self, your higher self, where all your answers your wisdom your power will come through and there is where you’ll heal your feelings through your intuitive emotional healing.

We’re no different to those elephants - elephants never forget so the behaviour pattern is transfixed into the brain to be repeated on automatic. Old feelings of limited and limiting, self-esteem and self-belief is where we’re going with this Blog. It’s about changing tack from externally imposed limitations, to self-imposed limitations to setting your own limitations and boundaries through accepting yourself completely and having no limitations.

How? You have to set intuitive emotional limits. You can only let yourself feel bad until 5pm tonight. That’s your limit. The Law of Attraction works energeti-cally to reflect our inner landscape; you attract what you feel and we’re pro-grammed to feel abundantly poor. Your consciousness has no idea what to do until you set the limits. Fudge it until it does, until it gets it, through your directives. It has no clue what’s real or unreal, what’s true what isn’t, you’ve got to give it instructions and love the game!

You’re going back to childhood issues around self-value, to have an emotional change of heart about what you’re worth and coming to terms of elevating it to what it needs to be. You’ll be rusty, that’s to be expected. Don’t get ahead of yourself, be open to anything, to what comes through you from your intuitive emotional self, your higher self, for stuff will come in when you let yourself get connected. It’s a rush.

Breaking Bad

Drawing new boundaries with your inner world brush, will turn your focus on what makes you strong from the inside out so you feel valuable in your outer world - not the other way around. Enough already of feeling bad about yourself, bring yourself back from that tangent and start living a fruitful life from your soul centre.  Here’s what needs to happen -

A whole reconstruction needs to happen, a re-write of the old scripted version of your hackneyed self, your alter ego’s machinations that have been your protective cover up and kept you small and not connected to the truth of you.

You’ve become comfortable in your discomfort, you’ve become used to it and stepping out of debilitating habitual behaviour and belief systems requires you to show up - for you. No one else is involved here. No one else is invited to the party. Nothing else is at play.
